IAM Expects 30% rise in Net ad revenue for Q4
“In figures pointing to another booming year online, the Interactive advertising bureau estimated Internet advertising revenue for the 2005 fourth quarter to exceed $12.5 billion. That’s a 30% increase of the previous revenue record of $9.6 billion in fourth 2004, and the highest quarter reported to date, according to the stud by the IAB and PricewaterhouseCoopers.”
Interesting numbers, over $12 billion a quarter, wow. I wonder what percentage of advertising is from small or medium businesses that have never advertised online before the last few quarters/years? The pay-per-click model that small business owners can place, manage and measure their own advertising is really opening up new markets for small businesses.
