Word of Mouth Marketing
I couldn’t make it to the Word of Mouth Basic Training, from WOMMA in SanFran last month, but I’ve come across the presentations from it on their site. There is some great info here, from implementation plans to data on WOM, corporate blogging and email campaigns.
Great overview of WOM with numbers to back it up:
“People don’t trust advertising, 76% don’t believe that companies tell the truth in advertisments.
People do trust others, 68% trust people “like themselves” and 92% trust them for product advice and ideas, up from 67% in 1977. With 84% find personal product advice somewhat credible, at least twice as convincing as company-produced information.”
Stats, and Data, and Numbers, oh my! All the facts and figures about word of mouth that you can eat
