Video Killed… MTV?

Bob Garfield’s Chaos Scenario 2.0 article is a great analysis and critique of what’s coming in television and online video/media. He discusses the online video “threat” to Madison Ave’s agency model, and “The 30-second is dead! Long live the three-second!” Nice.

A few of his many good points…

  1. People don’t like ads
  2. But they crave information
  3. The consumer is in control. No, really
  4. Diversion of ad budgets
  5. Pay-per-view

By the way, why does Ad Age make you login/register (a really long form!) to forward an article to a friend via email? I think they should read a few articles on this “interwebs” thing and how it works. 8-)
